84 People killed in Hyderabad serial blasts



Bomb blast at Dilsukhnagar in Hyderabad on Thursday 21-2-2013.


Dsnr Around 7-01 to & 7.06 p.m., the first blast occurred near a cinema theatre in Dilsukhnagar area on the busy . Another bomb exploded soon after in the same area sending shock waves and panic across the city.

The area, which sees heavy floating population, adjoins the Old City. . Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde reportedly said there was an intelligence alert of an attack.

A.P Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy visited the spot to take stock of the situation and appealed for calm. Speaking to reporters he said, "We will make sure that those behind the blasts are punished. This is an act of cowardice. Whoever has died, from the state government's side, six lakhs will be given." 

The commandos of National Security Guard have been deployed and a team of National Investigating Agency is also visiting the spot.
